It takes a community to build a village.

Since inception, our local Habitat has built 24 homes in our catchment area, but we know that as house prices continue to rise, so do the number of families and individuals who lose the opportunity of home ownership in our community. That’s why we’re building more.

We’ve embarked on a journey to build more than just home after home – now, we’re building whole communities.

With the support of our community, including our corporate partners, partnering social agencies and giving individuals, we have the potential to build homes for upwards of 100 families in our catchment area. To see where we’ve come from, and where we are going, please review our 2016 Progress Report.

Building Community

Tacoma Engineers has been a partner with Habitat for Humanity Wellington Dufferin Guelph for several years, and not only have we enjoyed the benefits of team building opportunities, but Habitat’s mission to improve lives and transform communities has also positively influenced our purpose and culture.  It is a meaningful partnership for us and an investment that we know that is having great returns for our community.”

Each family that has the foundation of a safe and decent home increases the overall social well-being of our community. Research shows that children who have a stable place to live do better in school and are more likely to enter into post-secondary education. Adults are also more likely to maintain a healthier lifestyle and to retain steady employment.

With your support, we can help build a strong and vibrant future for the homeowners of Cityview Village, and our entire community.
